教材中提供了图兰朵歌剧的剧评分为四个部分（第一段为《图兰朵》简介，第二至七段为《图兰朵》剧情介绍，第八段为演员等其他信息，第九段为作者对《图兰朵》的评价）。
因此在教学中，整体阅读时指导阅读策略，细节阅读时请学生关注《图兰朵》的人物及剧情。
阅读任务全部完成后，教师指导学生利用所学，欣赏《图兰朵》片段并讨论。
使学生对中西方文化尤其是音乐有更好的了解，为学习本单元Project 西方音乐的发展同时做好铺垫。
本节课做的不太理想是讨论部分，学生有话说，但用英语表达的能力较弱，所以气氛不太热烈。
在以后的课堂讨论中可给予适当的要点提示。
