生物技术药物

*课程简介(Description)
Biotech drugs are produced by DNA recombinant technology and monoclonal antibody technologies. They can be categorized into three big classes including protein, antibody, and nucleic acid drugs. Since Oct. 1982 the first biotech drug, human recombinant insulin, was approved for marketing, there were 116 biotech drugs in the world market by year 2000. There were 369 biotech drugs in Phase III clinical trials. 2600 biotech drugs are in early stages of research and development. Biotech is the most active area of drug research and development. It has made revolutionary changes to life sciences and pharmaceutical industry. This course introduces the basic theory of biotech drugs, research and clinical application of biotechnology and biological drugs. It also systematicly introduces the relationship between the genetic engineering, antibody engineering, transgenic animals and biotech drugs. The course covers all aspects of biotechnology and pharmaceutical research. Our "Biotech drugs " class is designed to reflect the international research and development in the field of biotech drugs. Surrounding the design and development of biopharmaceutics, the students should master the basic knowledge of biotech drugs, be of scientific capability and technology. The whole class is designed to prepare the graduate students to face the challenges with a better mind-set and capability in a competitive laboratory environment.

生物技术药物是指采用DNA重组技术或单克隆抗体技术,或其他生物技术研制的蛋白质、抗体或核酸类药物,是目前生物技术研究最活跃的领域。自1982年10月第一个生物技术药物人胰岛素生产以来,至2000年国际上已有116种生物技术药物投放市场,369种获得批准III期临床试验,2600多种处于试验室或早期临床观察阶段。生物技术药物已在新药开发中占据越来越重要的地位。本课程主要介绍了生物技术药物的基本理论、相关的生物技术和生物药物的研制及其临床应用,并系统介绍了基因工程、抗体工程、转基因动物与生物技术药物、药物作用靶点的研究,其知识点涉及了目前生物技术与药学研究领域的各个方面。本课程力求反映国际上生物技术药物的研究进展、开发现状和发展趋势。围绕生物药物的设计和开发为主线,在掌握生物技术药物基本知识的同时,受到科学思维和科学方法的良好训练,为日后研究工作打下坚实的基础。
