• For me, what matters most to life is how meaningful it is rather than how easy it is, so it makes tremendous sense to take a job that can tap into my potential to its utmost. However, I never shy away from admitting that engagement in translation is no fun, both intellectually and physically demanding (not so boring or dull as one may speculate). More importantly, the kernel of the truth speaks for itself that translation is more of a process of pursuing consummation and accomplishment when one is gladly and willingly immersed in it. In this sense, translation is part of my life because my long-desired wish ultimately gets its place.
• On the other hand, my job is not all about uninterrupted translation. One can always catch some joys from the static air in the not so spacious office if he is observant enough. Fine days often afford a glimpse into clumps of multilayered clouds beyond the uncurtained window thousands of miles high in the blue sky changing its various forms from time to time as the sun slides gradually down the zenith, lighting up the vicinity of the golden horizon and leaving a gorgeous skyline. Every so often, such kind of intoxicating view calms my anxiety down and vigor comes back to me. Besides, I feel a surge of excitement to mingle myself in the swarm of eager lunch goers and dine with acquaintances and new arrivals.ey Begins
• Many of my friends are invariably tempted to “demonize” translation as a terrible experience since it is toiling and head-scratching torment, unfavorably frowning upon the crazy idea that translation would fill most part of one’s life. Without doubt, this is a stereotypical notion that still retains a small fraction of the truth. After all, translation does not promise a handsome wage with big and thick steaks, which I believe is the very fundamental reason making quite a few able applicants balk preceding firm decision to enter into this occupation.

• Quietly seasons alternate-lurking summer comes following the departing late spring since my arrival. After nearly 3 months of hands-on experience, I have been much impressed: the sedentary nature of this job is somehow daunting, and it seems to be a slight discomfort to keep hunching over the desk, sinking in the revolving chair and gluing eyes to the blinking computer for long hours each day. There are moments when I cannot stop thinking about my flickering future until some revelations dawn upon me. The road to fulfilling one’s dream is scarcely smooth but thorny, a quitter is none other than a life idler whereas a staunch dream catcher never fails to flare with passions, unleashing unlimited enthusiasm and giving a shot to let it boil in due course.
• But keen interest in translation alone is far from enough, so the conventional wisdom should be kept in mind “As you sow, so shall you reap”. That is to say, one has to pay some price for it, for effortless gains are unarguably tempting but short-lived.
• The story about us will surely go on to detail a brand-new chapter, and the foreseeable future is within our reach despite accompanying ups and downs ahead. We, as a determined team, shall get through this odyssey trip and taste the sweetness of hard-earned victory.
