1. find+it（形式宾语）+adj. +不定式短语（真正宾语）
教材原文
Your mother tells me that you started smoking some time ago and now you are finding it difficult to give it up. 你妈妈告诉我，你不久前开始吸烟了，而且现在你觉得很难把它戒掉。
在“find/think/consider/make/feel+it+adj. +不定式短语”句式中，it为形式宾语，后面的不定式短语作真正的宾语。
经典例句
①We find it difficult to arrive there on time.
我们发现很难按时到那里。
②I don't feel it difficult to understand the VOA Special English.
我觉得理解慢速英语并不难。
2. as引导定语从句
教材原文
As you know, if you do the same thing over and over again, you begin to do it automatically. 正如你知道的，如果你反复做同样的事情，你就会下意识地做这件事情。
as可以引导先行词是整个主句的非限制性定语从句，在从句中作主语、宾语，意为“正如……，就像…，据……”，从句一般用逗号和主句隔开。
as引导限制性定语从句，先行词前有the same，as，so，such修饰。

众所周知，台湾是中国的一部分。
②The Beatles, as many of you are old enough to remember, came from Liverpool.

3. neither等表示否定意义的词位于句首，句子要部分倒装

never, seldom, rarely, little, hardly, scarcely等表示否定意义的词位于句首，
句子要用部分倒装。

4. It's time to do sth. 到了做……的时间了

经典例句

5. do的强调用法
教材原文
I do hope so because I want you to live as long and healthy a life as I have. 我的确希望你把烟戒掉，因为我希望你能像我这样活得健康长寿。
“do/does/did+动词原形”构成强调结构，意为“确实，的确”，用来加强谓语动词的语气，但须符合以下条件：
（1）句子是肯定句；
（2）句子的时态为一般现在时或一般过去时；
（3）只能用来强调谓语动词，如果强调主语、宾语、表语、状语等，应用It
is/was…that/who…。

他的确喜欢听古典音乐。

杰克说他要来，他的确来了。
6. “as+adj. +a/an+单数可数名词+as”结构
教材原文
I do hope so because I want you to live as long and healthy a life as I have. 我的确希望你把烟戒掉，因为我希望你能像我这样活得健康长寿。
该句中“as long and healthy a life as I have”为“as+adj. +a/an+单数可数名词
+as…”，意为“和……一样……”。
类似句型：too/so/how+adj. +a/an+单数可数名词。

7. every time引导时间状语从句

every time 引导时间状语从句，类似的有：each time，next time, the last time, the first time。

8. before引导时间状语从句

before作为连词，其基本含义是“在……之前”，又可以根据不同语境灵活翻译成“才，还没来得及就……，. 趁……”等。
It will（not）be+时间段+before. . …过多长时间才……（before引导的时间状语从句用一般现在时）
It was（not）+时间段+before. . …过了多长时间才……（before引导的时间状语从句用一般过去时）
