• In 2009 to be living in poverty a family of 4 must earn $21,954 • 2008 13.2% 39.8 million were living in extreme poverty • 2009 14.6% 43.6 million were living in extreme poverty • This number increases each year

• Salad bowl shows that the ethnicities are different as the ingredients of salad. • However salad is always falling apart, the quantities are always misleading.

• With materialism people are encouraged to spend as much as possible • If you have to much debt you lose your home and become homeless and can live in poverty for an extended amount of time.

• If you’re a minority or are poorer if you don’t follow the law you will be punished. • Everyone wishes to have more power and money to improve their lives so they take action to achieve it.
• To get more money for drugs, they steal threaten, rob and commit more crime.
