Up to now, Weichai possesses both high-speed engines and medium-speed engines, and has established researching platforms of twelve series engines, they are A series, 226B series, WP5/WP7 series, WD615/WD618 series, WP12 series, M26 series, 160 series, 170 series, 200 series, 250 series, L27/38 series, L32/40 series. All of them except A series , L27/38 and L32/40 series have large batch production capacity.根据“生产一代，储备一代，开发一代”的研发思路，潍柴开始着手研发满足欧Ⅴ排放的各系列产品，目前重卡用欧Ⅴ发动机已经进入路试阶段。
并且根据市场需求，开始研发大马力船机和2-3L的小型发动机。
Based on the R&D concept for the products of “manufacturing generation, reserving generation and developing generation”, Weichai has started to develop the new series engines to meet Euro V standard. Currently, the Euro V engines for heavy-duty truck have entered road testing stage.
