Origin
• Qixi originated from the worship of nature at first. →the worship to the stars • Qixi also came from the ancient people's worship of time. "Seven" and "Ji" are homophonic(谐音的) and "seven seven" has a meaning of double luck.It is a lucky day.

Santa’s origin
Once there was an old man named Nicholas. He always help poor families. One time he help three poor children, and sent their three bags of gold to escape the misfortune of being sold. When Nicholas secretly put one bag to one woman, the bag was thrown to a window into the walls of the king in a stocking. Therefore, in order to commemorate him, people will put the gifts in the socks and ask for candy house to house. Nowadays , Santa will secretly climb into chimney to give gifts in the socks which in the head of the bed.

拜织女
“拜织女”纯是少女、少妇们的事。她们大都是预先和自己朋友或邻里 们约好五六人,多至十来人,联合举办。举行的仪式,是于月光下摆一张桌 子,桌子上置茶、酒、水果、五子(桂圆、红枣、榛子、花生,瓜子)等祭 品;又有鲜花几朵,束红纸,插瓶子里,花前置一个小香炉。那么,约好参 加拜织女的少妇、少女们,斋戒一天,沐浴停当,准时都到主办的家里来, 于案前焚香礼拜后,大家一起围坐在桌前,一面吃花生,瓜子,一面朝着织 女星座,默念自己的心事。如少女们希望长得漂亮或嫁个如意郎、少妇们希 望早生贵子等,都可以向织女星默祷。玩到半夜始散。

The festival originated from the romantic legend of two lovers,the Weaver Maid and the Cowherd牛郎. The tale of The Weaver Girl and the Cowherd has been celebrated in the Qixi Festival since the Han Dynasty. The earliestknown reference to this famous myth dates back to over 2600 years ago, which was told in a poem from the Classic of Poetry.
Christmas tree
The origin of the Christmas tree in west is: a good farmer, on Christmas day, warmly hosted a homeless child, when the child was leaving, he fold a branch in the ground, and the branch become a tree. The boy pointed at the tree and said today in every year, gifts would appear in the tree to repay your hospitality. So, now the Christmas tree always hung many small gifts.

The Spring festival , also called "the Chinese New Year",has been the most significant and celebrated holiday of the year for the Chinese nationality.According to the traditional custom,the Spring Festival lasts form the 23rd day of 12th lunar month to the 15th day of 1st lunar month ,and the climax should be the New Year Eve and the first day of lunar month.
