My View on Euthanasia
Euthanasia is not unfamiliar with us in our modern society for more and more people are considering euthanasia. As a proverb says ‘Everything will die’, so every creature can not avoid death. Euthanasia has become a hot discussion for our human beings.
On one hand, some people support euthanized for some special people. They have some reasons to support their point of view. Firstly, it is based on humanity to give some people euthanasia. When some people suffering from diseases such as cancer, they suffered much more pain that beyond our imagination. For these people, death is easier her living. Giving them euthanasia is the best choice at this time. Our medical equipment has already improved and they can release themselves from the endurable pain, with the euthanasia help them. It’s a humanism behavior for human beings. Secondly, it is a basic human right. Everyone has the right to decide how to end their life and euthanasia gives them the chance to get rid of the intolerable pain. Don’t you think that peaceful death is better than painful alive. Thirdly they said we need human and material resources to take care of the patient. This would increase burden on their family, because, no matter how busy their family members are, they should make time to take care of them and if the illness can’t be cured and the patient still died at last, it will make their family members sadder. Nowadays medical treatment is very expensive. If his family is not a very wealthy family, it is very hard for them to pay for the treatment costs and their family members are bound to go around borrowing money and this will increase the financial burden of the family.
On the other hand, other people are against euthanasia. They believe euthanasia is human’s behavior and against nature. They also considered if euthanasia once becomes a legal behavior, many cases about abuse of drugs will happen. Some criminals will make use of it to misuse drugs and make some criminal behavior. Besides, it’s also very hard to decide when and what kind of people should we give them euthanasia. Doctor’s responsibilities will become heavier. How to distinguish whether we should give some people euthanasia is another big question. There are a lot of problems behind the behavior of euthanasia should our society to solve.
From all above, we may know that the behavior of euthanasia will bring some advantages as well as some disadvantages. As our human beings, what we can do is just make use of it’s
advantages as much as possible, and avoid it’s disadvantages in the meanwhile. From my point of view, I support on euthanasia because of its really necessary for some special people. And only if we could perfect our law euthanasia will benefit the whole mankind .we all looking forward the day our dream will come true.
