Ability objectives :
The students can use the sentence “what were you doing when …?” to make dialog and can use it masterly . And they can use the words they have learned before to talk about past events. The most important thing is the students can be clear about the problem about past tense.
Emotion objectives : After this lesson , the student can find more interesting things about English and they can learn some boring learning points in the way they like .

After the frontal studying , the students has already had some base about English . They can make easy dialogs , and can handle the words they studied in their words . And they can also make sentences according to teacher’s requests . So in this lesson , a teacher can teach the students the learning points in a relaxed and interesting way .

This lesson comes from Section B , Unit 3 in Book Two , Junior Two. This lesson talks about how to ask others about their past actions. And also contain the ways to answer . Although the words and sentences learning is a little boring , it talks about UFO which is very attractive for the students . So this lesson can easily connect the learning contents and the students’ interests .
