Ask Ss to scan the passage and choose the main idea of the passage.
A. Last year, my husband was appointed to work in Chicago.

(2)It helps Ss themselves as well as their communities for many of them work harder in school and their mathematics and reading skills have been improved.
The teacher will check the answers by groups. Ask the students to give their answers and their reasons. The teacher gives the feedback.

1)Ask Ss read the whole text independently, and try to find the answers.
