2)Tell Ss to read through Background and Present Situation, then close their books and see if they can give you the following information: company founders; founders’ backgruond; location of first restaurant; number of outlets after five years; expansion strategy; reason for success; products and services.

Step Three
Task:
1)To prepare for the task, divide Ss into four groups and assign each group a different options to discuss.
2)Ss should also read through the other three options and pool any additional ideas they might have for improving profitability with the conitor, helping where necessary.
4)Make new groups, putting one S from each of the first groups together, and set up the task.
5)Appoint a chair for each group and remind the chair that it is his/her responsibility to keep the discussion on course and make sure a plan of action to turn the company round is agreed.
